The United States emits the same amount every 5.4 seconds. Admittedly, it does have a larger population, and you can find out just how big at this great new site. Roll over countries on the world map at Breathing Earth and you will find out the country’s population, carbon dioxide emissions, and birth and death rates. It’s an incredible insight into the problems the world is facing and the counter that displays birth, death and CO2 emissions since you loaded the page makes for frightful watching.
