STUPID.CA exists as a project created to speak to youth here in Ontario. It is here to show youth how the industry manipulates us and the effects that smoking can have. Basically, we’re here to be the ones who say what everyone else has been thinking without tip-toeing around the issues; and we’re going to say it in public, on TV, in magazines and on this site. It is time as youth to voice OUR opinions on this subject, and to stop being told what to think.
It is a social commentary on the choice to smoke or not to smoke and is not meant to be an insult to smokers, smokers aren’t stupid. Smoking however is a stupid choice, and any smoker who is honest and takes accountability for their own choices knows that what they’re doing is stupid.
