MacHeads is a captivating documentary about fanaticism and unconditional devotion to a corporate brand. The film reveals the fascinating characters that make up the Macintosh community. Their stories take us on a journey through Mac history leading up to the Apple revolution and to its present day popularity to pose the ultimate question: Is Apple losing faith as a community and becoming just a...brand? "Macheads" features interviews with Mac addicts including Raines Cohen, Co-Founder of the first Macintosh user group BMUG, Guy Kawasaki, former Apple Evangelist and savior,Bruce Damer and Galen Brandt, owners of Digibarn Computer Museum, Shawn King, host of Your Mac Life, Adam Engst, publisher of the first Apple newsletter, Leander Kaheny author of Cult of Mac, Andy Ihnatko Chicago Sun-Times' technology columnist, Daniel Kottke Mac engineer and the first official employee of Apple Inc, and many others, that with legendary Computer Chronicles archive footage, and cartoons by joyoftech weave together a captivating story of an extraordinary community.
Bonus pour comprendre le lien entre culte et marque.

OK, don't get me wrong, I love Mac, but come on, this video makes me really sad. It is not the first time I see footage like that (remember Burger King), where we see people becoming followers of a corporate brand. Don't we have anything better in our lives that we actually need to identify with a corporation to feel cool?
Sorry Jordi but I'm a fan. Mac really changed my life and indirectly yours.
I agree with you when you say that we should have better things to do in life to identify ourselves to brand but for some of us it comes naturaly, without even realizing it. That's the power of advertising.
Martin Mac Gauthier, not a PC : )
